This workshop will be hosted by Maison Burlesque's studio headmistress Poppy Cherry. Poppy has been working full time in the burlesque industry for the better part of 14 years, during which she has developed countless solo acts and literally hundreds of student routines, as well as producing and stage managing multiple events and tours.

About Your Instructor:
Maison Burlesque owner and school headmistress, Poppy has been a regular fixture on the Melbourne Burlesque scene both on and off the stage since 2009, and is known for her energetic, theatrical take on classic burlesque.
Poppy has also produced many successful Burlesque events, including "Stage Fright!" "Oktoberfest Burlesque", "Burlesque DeVine" and many more. Poppy has worked as the Entertainment Manager at Burlesque Bar & The Burlesque Showboat and the Stage Manager for the Australian Burlesque Festival National Tour.
Poppy has extensive experience running burlesque workshops and classes, and always creates a fun, warm learning environment. Poppy Cherry brings the spirit of burlesque to life in her classes with her vivacious nature and extensive experience as a performer. As a teacher she always encourages her students to grow, providing them with the support and patience they need to blossom. Her students can expect a great balance between fun and hard work to help them advance their skills.
