Sunday December 10th:
2pm - 3:30pm Workshop: "Textures and Timing - Mastering movement to enchant an audience" (Open Level)
Learn the subtleties of how to use movement and musicality to draw an audience in, create impact and leave them wanting more.
In this dance-focused workshop you will learn a piece of choreography from esteemed choreographer and director, Benjamin Curé, while learning invaluable skills and tricks to enthral your audiences. With a focus on musicality and textures within movements, this workshop aims to give you the tools to further refine and enhance your performance skills and confidence with movement.
This workshop is open to participants of all dance abilities, there will be modified versions of all movements and choreography available.

4pm - 6pm Masterclass: "Choreographic Skills" (Open Level)
Learn how to choreograph your own acts to perfection, every time.
In this masterclass, esteemed choreographer Benjamin Curé will guide you through the process of how to generate your own steps, effectively style movements to match your acts and find the confidence to consistently create captivating choreography. No matter your dancing ability, this workshop will set you up for success in refining your own acts.

About Your Instructor
Having worked professionally as a dancer and choreographer for over 12 years, Benjamin Curé has made a name for himself as a leading creative in the industry.
He has performed with companies like Opera Australia, Vertical Shadows, danced for artists like Karen From Finance and was part of the top 100 of Australia's So You Think You Can Dance. As the founding director of Lion Heart Dance Company, he has produced multiple seasons of work, as well as choreographing for international conventions like the World Congress on Public Health and International Inner Wheel Conference and most recently the musical Songs for a New World. His influence in the burlesque scene has seen him working with burlesque icons like Evana de Lune, Gina Stirling, Ruby Slippers and Egson Ham to choreograph and develop their acts.
Ben is a passionate educator and has taught both locally and internationally for over a decade, including: tertiary courses at dance studios, the National Institute of Circus Arts, International Summer Schools and elite programs. He brings not only a wealth of knowledge and experience, but a desire to see every student thrive - tailoring every experience to the unique needs of the individual.
