Looking for a burlesque fix these Summer Holidays? Maison Burlesque Summer School is BACK - and it’s BIGGER!
Covering not 1 but 2 weekends of summer, we are offering an online Summer School Schedule of 6 live-streamed lectures, as well as our regular 20 In-Studio workshops.
All Summer School workshops are open to all genders and all levels of experience.
Please note that workshops are coded as Low/Mod/High Physical Intensity - please be aware that High Intensity workshops are the most physically intensive, and likely to build up a SWEAT! If you have any questions regarding your suitability please contact us.
HOW IT WORKS:
Over three days we will be presenting 20 different two-hour length workshops with our resident tutors! This year we’re also presenting 6 of these workshops as an online option live-streamed from in-studio. All online workshops are recorded if you cannot attend live.
It's first in best (un)dressed though, so the sooner you book the more likely you will get your first preferences.
Special Guest Masterclass with Rhys Lightning
Join Burlesque Hall of Fame & Mr Boylesque Australia winner for a special one night only workshop here at Maison Burlesque!
Learn a sexy yet strong routine to a contemporary rock song. Expect 60s style movement themes plus a focus on attitude and stage presence. As well as learning challenging steps, you will also be encouraged to interpret the track with your own style.
Musicality is a strong focus of this class but we will also learn how to move lyrically to maximise the performance aspect.
Pastie Making Workshop
Learn to make your own super-spinny, super-sparkly nipple pasties with in-house fancy nipple jewellery designer, Winter Greene! In this 4 hour workshop you will be provided with all the tools and know-how you need to create your very own pair of fully rhinestoned pasties with tassels.
Winter Greene is known worldwide for their elaborate, luxe and one-of-a-kind nipple tassels. From classic snowflakes to bananas shaped like dicks, to jellyfish, circus tents and even gorilla nipples - this designer has donned many top performers tatas in the most weird and wonderful designs.
Feather Fan Making & Maintenance Crafternoon
Are your Feather Fans in need of some Maintenance or Upgrade?
Or have all the materials to make your own fans but don't know where to start?
Grab your supplies and join resident Fan Dance instructor Poppy Cherry for an casual crafternoon, and receive tips and guidance on how to construct, upgrade, repair or maintain your feather fans.
Poppy Cherry has been dancing with fans for over 14 years, and teaching fan dance classes for over 8 years. She has also made countless pairs of feather fans using a range of different stave types and feather sizes, and has plenty of tips for how to get the best construction, quick emergency fixes, as well as the pitfalls to avoid when making fans for the first time.
