Sunday November 26th:

2pm - 3:30pm: "Classic with a Twist" (Open Level)

Explore classic burlesque with Cherry Charleston in this expressive workshop designed for every age, gender and ability! 

In this workshop, you will:

• Dive into classic burlesque bump and grind.

• Delve into an emphasis on connecting with and loving your body.

• Work on how you can tap into your own version of tease.

PRE-REQUISITES: This workshop is for everyone - all ages, genders and abilities. Noting that the class is held in a second-story studio, so there are stairs to climb.

BRING: Wear comfy clothes you can move in but that make YOU feel good, and either comfy shoes or heels.  

4pm - 5:30pm: "Gatsby Charleston" (Open Level)

Rouge your knees and roll your stockings down! Step back in time to the roaring 20s and the world of flappers and decadence. 

This workshop will introduce key components of the Charleston, including footwork, armwork and atttitude. Excite yourself to leave with all the Charleston basics to dance the night away at any 1920's themed event.

The workshop will finish off with a cute routine that you can show off to your pals.

PRE-REQUISITES: No prior experience required.

BRING: Flat or low heeled shoes with a leather or suede sole recommended.

 Please note these are a live in-person Workshops located in our Richmond Studio. Class numbers will be capped.

About Your Instructor

Cherry Charleston is a vintage dancer who loves to perform in her rhinestoned undies at any opportunity. From tap dance teacher to burlesque performer, Cherry's journey has seen her produce sold-out burlesque and cabaret shows in Darwin, sing in the Australian Premiere of 9 to 5 the Musical , and yes she has taught over 1000 Zumba classes in Phillip Island. As the creative force behind Phoenix Burlesque Troupe, she's leading a movement that proves once and for all, that sexy is an attitude not an age.
