It’s stage makeup, baby! Let’s hit ENHANCE on those features as we play to the back row in this femme-drag inspired makeup workshop with the cosmeceutical crime against humanity herself, Ruby Slippers. This workshop is not for the faint of heart, but a totally safe space to experiment with new styles, shapes, and that product you’ve had rolling around your makeup case for months that you’re not ready to use without training wheels.
BIG F*CKOFF THINGS WE WILL BE DOING:
Base and Brows: enhance those cheeks, block the tails of your brows and send them all the way up into the air!
Eyes: Dark, bold colours that you can see from space, and bright flashes of highlight to open up your eyes in new and exciting ways!
Lashes: It’s time to use those lashes with enough wind power to topple a tree - BYO big guns, or Ruby will have stock of #301s (classic mega drag lash) available to purchase
Lips: Let's use multiple shades and shimmers to create size and depth on those kissers!
YOU WILL NEED:
Base products - Cream/liquid Foundation, highlight and contour, setting powder
Cheek products - contour, blush, highlighter (powders/pressed powders)
Brow blocking products: Glue stick (the Elmers purple glue stick is the shit, or the Bostik Blue isn’t too bad), brow pencil/powders
Eye makeup - bold matte shadows, black eye pencil, white eye pencil/gel/liquid, black liquid eyeliner (gel/pen/both), glitters, sparkly highlight shadows, mascara, lashes, rhinestones
Lips - deep/rich lip colours, brighter colours, glitters - whatever you’re keen to play with!
Plus all the brushes and applicators you like to use, makeup wipes, cotton tips etc
This workshop may be a little beyond some first timers, but you’re welcome to watch, take notes and get inspired!
