Classically Strut & Tease with Maple Rose
Live your ultimate showgirl fantasy and learn to strut, pose and tease like the iconic burlesque icons of yester year! Join Maple Rose in a fun and flirty workshop focusing on footwork, rhythm, musicality, use of space and stage presence!
Core skills covered in this Fab Friday edition are:
Strength training and dance-based warm up techniques
Travelling sequences across the room
Showgirl Feet, Poses and Posture
Lines, extensions and hand movements
Teasing with posing or floating in an effortless fashion
This workshop is open to dancers of all levels, from total beginners to seasoned performers who want to add some extra fun to their repertoire. Whether you're looking to try something new, let loose, or just have a great time dancing, this workshop is the perfect place to let your playful side shine.

About your instructor:
Described as the unwanted lovechild of Tempest Storm and Lucille Ball, Miss Maple Rose combines her professional expertise in costume and set design with her foundation in classical dance to guide budding performance artists in the art of tease! She’s here to prove that “classic burlesque” doesn’t have to be boring. Either with feather fans or tapping toes, Maple will take you on a deep dive into burlesque history.
Winner of the 1st Runner Up crown at Miss Burlesque Australia 2018, Headliner of the Australian Burlesque Festival 2020/21/22, voted #21 in the 21st Century Burlesque’s Top 50 Most Influential Burlesque Figures of 2021, voted Best Solo Artist and Most Classic at the Australian Burlesque Industry Awards, The Busties, in 2018 - Maple has shown Australia she's one tornado with her feather fans and couture costumes!
